Folder permanently hidden?

I copied a folder from a hidden share (ie: computer\c$), now the root folder, call it "folder" is hidden. The folders within that folder aren't hidden, just the root folder. When I go to the properties of "folder" it's listed as read only, and hidden, except the check box for hidden is grayed out, so I can't select it. I can uncheck read only, and hit apply, but when I close the windows and check the properties again, read only is checked.

Any ideas?

where did you copy it to? Is your acount administrator?

copied it to the D drive on the local machine.

yes the acccount is admin.

try changing it in the commandline? attrib -h <filename/path>

ended up creating new folders, copying the data over and deleting the old ones.
