Mine's pulling back at the temples (I'm 27). TBH I don't care. My father went gray at 17, I have no gray hairs yet and am glad - that would actually bother me.

One of the side effects of Acutane, which I started taking around age 21, was hair loss. I never had a problem till I started taking that. I could literally pull strands of hair, with little effort, out of my head while showering while on Acutane. After I stopped taking it, the problem went away, but my hairline has slowly been receeding. Also only above the temples off my forehead mainly. My Dad at 52, had a full head of hair. And my mother's father, in his mid to late 60's, didn't have a problem either.

And I generally keep my hair real short nowadays =P Ever since my hairline started receeding, I started cutting my hair really really short, only like 1/4" in length or less. I used to wear it longer, brush it over to the side, but don't really like the way it looks anymore so I just wear it short. It's nice, much less to deal with. I'm 27 now btw.

ITS YOU WOMEN THAT MAKE US BALD 😀
you freaks 😉
freaky is good. 😉

Unless it's a balding woman - that's bad freaky.

And WTF is up with the "OH NOES I'M BALDING BETTAR SHAVE MY HEAD" mentality these days? Having no hair at all is better than having some hair? I know a few guys that shave it because they're bald/balding. I find it weird.

25 years with hair; you've already exceeded expectations. Shave your head, become a monk & join a temple.

It's just hair. 🙂

hahahahhaa

lol that was rude

but yea does headblade really help?

My hair started to thin a bit on top until I started using medicated shampoo. I now use Nizoral medicated shampoo twice weekly and it's stopped my hair from thinning further. Been using it for several years now. I highly recommend it.

Isn't Nizoral a dandruff shampoo? Maybe I should look into this .. a lot of my hair falls out whenever I take a shower in the morning.

What?? I see balding asian people all the time.

He's right. Asians are less prone to hair loss than caucasians in general.

all BS

there is a pill that will make ur hair grow but will prevent you from having any future "chitty chitty bang bang" with your beloved one😉 .... not an expert but i think that is because all the blood flow will be more directed towards the nerves of ur hair... but may be wrong

another VERY good shampoo /conditioner is Nioxin.. i cant believe nobody has mentioned that.

use it everyday and according to people in 3-4months u will see a major impact and grow some hair..

best thing is keep shaving atleast once a month using mach 3 turbo or that blade... the nerves needs to revitalized during shaving process and all the gunk on the scalp that builds up will be gone and from any lack of oxygen that ur scalp needs for healthy hair.

my hair started falling from my crown since i was 17/18;(

You only wash your hair twice a week?

Suggested so far:

Horse shampoo
Soy milk (which I think only Mainland Chinese drink)
Dandruff shampoo

No one's suggested Propecia yet, though, which seems odd. It puts a stop to the hair falling out.

Birth control pills will also keep your hair from falling out.

Good luck with whichever route you choose! 😀

I am 24 and getting lots of greys on the side. Balding is not a problem though. I blame the greys on my wife, not genetics.

I am 25 and have had thin hair since I was about 18 although lately it has got worse. I think I dyed my hair to many times as a kid because I would loose hair by the handful each time i'd dye it.

Anyways, about 2 weeks ago I got Nioxin (Sampoo and Coniditioner) and it is nice although I have not been using it long enough to know if it is helping.

Soy may prevent baldness

According to an article "Soy: Prevent Prostate Cancer, Male Baldness?" in Biology of Reproduction, March 2004, D. Kenneth claims that soy may prevent prevent prostate cancer and male baldness. Other studies have suggested that mice fed high doses of isolfavones have less prostate cell growth.

Equol is showing promise as a powerful blocker of a potent male hormone involved in prostate cancer, male baldness and even acne.

During digestion the two soy isoflavones, genistin and daidzin, are metabolized to form genistein and daidzein. Finally daidzein is metabolized to equol. When male rats, with removed testes so they don't produce testosterone, were injected with DHT (Di-Hydro-Testosterone, created through the actions of an enzyme on the male hormone testosterone) their prostate increased in size. When the mice were injected with equol the size of their prostate did not change. When both DHT and equol were injected in the mice, equol prevented DHT from triggering prostate cell growth. Equol seems to block the bad function of DHT. It is known that DHT also causes loss of hair follicles resulting in baldness. If equol can block DHT this means that soy isoflavones have a tremendous potential in preventing male baldness.

These finding are very interesting because other current treatments for prostate cancer involve decreasing or blocking the production of testosterone, resulting in fatigue and low libido. Equol, on the other hand, does not interfere in the production of DHT but prevents it from functioning.

I'm gonna start eating tofu & drinking soy milk.🙂
