Foam mattress questions

I got a queen size foam mattress at Costco on Saturday, it's still in the box as I have no where to put it. I don't want to just put it directly on the ground. It says on the box I *can* put it on a box spring, but I don't have a Queen size box spring. Should I get a box spring or something like this? - Also, while i'm at it, do I just get normal sheets for this mattress or should I get anything special? I still need a mattress pad/fitted sheet right? What's the best way to get rid of my old crappy mattress/box spring?

Either a standard frame with a box-spring or the platform you linked will work fine & as long as standard sheets fit your foam mattress they will work too.
