As long as she doesn't live with you and had a valid license, probably...but I am not an insurance adjustor.

SO = wife and lives with me. no license no permit. just thought i'd let her try on an empty lot. :\ yes im stupid. but who knew? front bumper, tires ruined. probably lot of internal damage. i thought insured would automatically include spouses. *sigh*

btw, is this not covered under uninsured motorist coverage?

No. i will stick with the trooth.

It is your fault for letting her drive tbh. My girlfriend gets pissed when I say no, but I don't care, I have no-fault, and I have NO way to replace my car, and then she gets pissed, and why? I'm a MUCH MUCH better driver, and she doesn't even have a license.

You are so fail, I don't even know.

uninsured motorist means if an uninsured motorist hits you. your insurance company aint gonna do squat if you said she did it.

You let an unlicensed driver operate your car. Not only will your insurance NOT cover the damages, had you been caught by a cop, you both would have been ticketed. Her for driving without a license, you for allowing an unlicensed driver to drive the car. (My neighbor just got ticketed for letting his unlicensed/unpermitted daughter drive the car while trying to teach her the basics before she applied for her permit)

My insurance charges me for my wife, even though she is not on my plan. It's not much, but it does increase it for anyone that lives at the same address.

They automatically assume anyone that lives in the same house may drive my car.

I thought this was normal?

Yeah, that is true, but you usually have to disclose the other members of the household. Plus, they probably ignore unlicensed drivers, as they shouldn't be driving at all

How the hell do you hit a tree in a parking lot while learning how to drive? It's not rocket science...

Does your SO happen to be asian?

I learned to drive when I was like 8 and I never hit a tree.
