Yes Deacon Blues was outstanding. 1978 - no worries, just chillin' with the grooves.

Too bad the audio on that one is messed. Ouch! The studio version doesn't sound bad.

i am not from their generation, but Steely Dan has some decent party music. My music tastes are all over the place though...however; when people have parties I am usually one of the people they ask for selections from. Don't have any steely dan in my collection though.

The Dan was one of the best bands ever. And yes, I'm an old fart. But that was music, as opposed to todays noise.
