flying question

Does anybody know why it is that you have to have your window shade up on landing? I'm sure there's a good reason, but i was just curious. I just got back last night from bonaire (dutch caribbean) which is were i was reminded of the question. It was great there, but damn cold coming back to 23 degrees at the airport🙁 It's strange getting used to summer weather in the middle of the winter and then having to go back...

It's probably because they want them up on takeoff... They just are too lazy to go from seat to seat and reset everything for the next flight.

.....lazy flight attendents....sheesh. 😛

actually it's on atleast two of them. THis was air jamaica and i know they had the same on another, maybe american eagle. I figure it has to be a safety thing, i just don't know what that would be

I have flown Rasta Air, and dont remember being asked to do with the window shades.....of course I also had quite a bit of free champagne, so that MAY have effected my memory.
