good luck!

seriously, the article states it slid off the runway during an emergency landing. Not exactly ideal. And looks in good shape! ;)

Eh. I fly on E-170s all the time - Delta's shuttle from Chicago Midway to LaGuardia. Never had a problem and prefer them over the 737s that are used for that route because of the lack of a middle seat.

In the realm of smaller jets it's a comfortable plane. Like the other guy said, at least it's not a CRJ!

This is LaGuardia to Toronto Pearson.

It shouldn't be that bad. It might be classified as a regional jet, but if the E190s are set up the same as the E170s, then you should have about as much leg room in coach as you would in a normal sized aircraft, like a 737. The other nice thing about these shuttle jets is they don't have tiny overhead compartments, you can fit a full sized carry-on in the bins.

Don't feel bad. Buddy of mine, years ago, traveled Alaska Airlines from SeaTac to LAX, right after the MD80 plane went down due to a jammed horizontal stabilizer problem, on it's way back to the states from Mexico. His flight down was on a 737.......but his flight back was going to be on an MD80!! He kept rescheduling his flight back, they kept giving him flights on the MD80's!! LOL

He finally got a flight, 2 days after his original return date, on another 737. No way was he going to fly on a plane that had just gone down!!

You will be in trouble if you're going to be flying on any plane. I abhor flying but when I have to do it I'm definitely going to be inside the blasted plane. :p

Of course it could always be worse.

Compared to a 737 it leaps off the runway. Much more comfortable as well. I've had great experiences with Embraers.
