In that case I'd choose the window. Although I had the window when I went to London and there's not much to look at. Mainly icebergs, water, and the occasional ship.

And while this wasnt the original purpose for this thread, there are three reasons im going.

#1. $1,500 cheaper (including airfare) to spend the summer taking classes at Oxford than at home.
#2. All classes are pass fail.
#3. Looks good on the resume.

the bassinet is where the infants usually are.

that's assuming that the parents thought that perhaps given that they're travelling with an infant, it may be a good idea to check in early and have a good seat selection instead of showing up ten minutes to departure...

Window EXIT seat, meaning you have tons of leg room and a window at the same time. Doesn't get much better.

I dunno..unless you are someone who goes to the bathroom a lot, window is still better. Like others said, it is easier to sleep/rest against the plane.
