The coalition has lots of forces in Germany. They can fly in one tank on every C-17 Globemaster transport plane or a couple of Bradley fighting vehicles on every C-17. And in no time, they can build this force.

geez..sounds like it's going to take a long time. or is it just drop 10 tanks, and roll it into bagdad w/air power nailing anything that can hurt the m1a1 tank? (and no, nothing should mounted can hurt a m1a1, i think)

It's not like they only have one C-17 operating in the region....

My best guess (based on previous experience) is that each aircraft is doing four missions a day, anf they probably have about twenty aircraft assigned to that mission. So, it won't take long :)

I've heard (in wartime only) a C-5 can carry 2 M1-A1s.

It's been a few years since I worked with C-5's, so I don't remember the max load capapbility. Roughly, Air Force cargo aircraft carry a load weight equal to the max fuel weight, in peacetime. If I remember correctly, wartime overload is about twice that.
