Flushing empty toilet paper rolls: Am I the only one?

So, when the toilet paper roll is empty, I've always soaked them in the sink, until they're saturated, then torn them into little pieces and thrown them in the toilet. Never had a problem. Now I'm thinking, if I just put the whole empty cardboard roll in the toilet, let it soak for awhile, it will go right down, no problem. What say you?

I recycle them in warm weather, burn them in cool. Never considered flushing them, and wouldn't with my septic system.

Why go to that much trouble when you can just throw them away in the trash?

If you're that bored, you can do something more creative with those rolls.

The roll is made of cardboard, not those tissues that dissolve in water. They are meant to be recycled.

Incredibly weird OP, never heard of this.... ever. Seems like you go through 10 billion times more effort then just throwing it away. I keep a trash can next to ever toilet for a reason.

If your area recycles paper (e.g. newspaper, printer paper, etc.) then it's pretty likely they do cardboard as well....
