I have the following system:
K7T Pro2a motherboard
256 PC133 ram
Duron 700mhz
V770 TNT2 Ultra Diamond graphics card
MX300 sound card
Generic (or maybe I/O Magic, can't remember) 32x CD-ROM drive
LG Electronics 8080B CD-RW 8x4x24x
WindowsXP Pro
I have installed Easy CD Creator Platinum and have performed all their screwy updates, but when I go to burn my CD's, I inevitably get a "Flush" error and the CD's are ruined. I have gone through about 10, and have given up. Sometimes it will even test okay, then proceed to fail on the true burn. When I tried scanning tracks off of a successful CD I had burned with audio songs, my old CD-ROM player will hang and the screen simply says "Scanning" and then finally "Scanning (Not Responding)" and I have to cntrl+alt+del to kill the process. Of note, when I installed Easy CD Creator, it said that my CD-ROM was not supported. It must mean my actual CD-ROM, not my CD-RW because the CD-RW is listed as supported. I have tried doing all the updates from Windows, with no avail. I tried uninstalling Easy, replaced it with Nero, and still no avail. I even changed the CD's modes all to PIO per Roxio's web site. So, I'm stumped. Could my CD-ROM be messing with the bus? Is my Burner worn out (I've only burned about 30cd's on it)? Are my drivers in error? I have no idea what the problem is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Condor Beedee
