No comments about he literally stopped the press conference to announce that he never told Russia that Israel was the intelligence source?

Anyone see netanyahu's reaction? Total deer in head lights. Anyone think Russia doesn't know now?

Trump's contributions to international politics are reminding me more of this these days:

I agree he misspoke. I never thought for a minute that he didn't know there were 50 states. That is and was my point. You don't think the same applies here?

No, I don't think the same applies here.

I think in Trump's mind middle east = muslims, and he doesn't consider Israel as part of that.

Because voters decide who wins elections not politicians?

So you do think that voters bear the responsibility rather than politicians? Why didn't you just say so? Would have saved everyone a lot of time if you had just answered the question instead of evading it.

Ummm, that's pretty much exactly what I've been saying.

I'm fairly sure that it was just you that didn't get that.

While I don't read minds I do get that. Where I'm coming from is the point of view that politicians in leadership positions bear more responsibility for the way a nation is run than the, as you put it, idiot voters. Keeping in mind those "idiot" voters are influenced on how to vote by those very same politicians.

Not surprising at all for the demented idiot, but that facepalm turned hair adjustment from Cohen was pretty damn funny.

I get the feeling he and a lot of people from the CIA and DNI are on the same page now regarding Dump. HA!

Clearly he sees Israel as a Western nation.

I think age has taken its toll on him. Which is why, during the campaign, he spoke in short, rehearsed, scripts, then broke down into a word salad. He relied more on childish attacks and public outrage than any substantial policy discussion. Granted, the media assisted in driving discussion far from policy... but that is where he'd come up empty because he is incapable of critical thinking.

Our President is senile, at best.

You may be right, but I see somebody who strikes me more as infantile, somebody who is profoundly ignorant and emotionally stunted. He grew up with the intention to master the art of war, to compete at the highest level against people who are similarly sick. He learned to feed his ego in a world full of sleeping people. He is, when we project, what you would call a vampire or an alpha male in a werewolf pack. He is a winner in a sleeping world of the crippled and the sick. He learned to be cunning and to crush emphatic love. He went down the path of ego rather than the path of being. He created a powerful horse and a merciless driver for a magnificent carriage that has no idea who the passenger is for which such things were created.

Trump reminds me of my pseudoconservative right wing religious actor father who spews unverifiable garbage all day long but goes into a tizzy when you ask for proof to support his claims.

I agree. This isn't even worth bothering over. Presidents have made gaffs and will continue to do so. My favorite was when Bush 1 horked his lunch (and dinner?) all over the Japanese PM's lap. That was hilarious, and certainly worse than this.

I think rage time is better spent on all the other things Hair Fuhrer is doing on this trip (like blathering on about how he can't be trusted with intelligence, yet again, and without prompting. what a fucking idiot).

Trump has two oratorical styles:

Rally Trump, where he's winging it, spouting nonsense, leading chants, and braying.

Presidential Trump, where he's reading off a teleprompter like someone reading an eye chart.

He's been 100% the latter on this trip; I'm hoping that Rally Trump is unleashed, because that's when the fun starts.

This stuff in Isreal about brokering peace when he has no ideas, no strategy, no experience, no clue whatsoever .. it's just a guy standing in front of a microphone talking utter shit and totally convinced the world believes in his abilities.

Trump is delusioned in the same way Idi Amin was, or Robert Mugabe is now. He thinks people clap because he's the deal maker, the guy who gets things done. Embarrassing for the country.

Trump: "I just flew from the Middle East and boy are my arms tired"

Normally this would rate a pass from anyone showing a modicum of competency but we have Trump

Fake news! He was fixing his hair!!
His comb over was truly out of control. Saw an impressive amount of forehead for the first time. Sorry no video captures. Some of you link artists should find some good examples.

He's even dumber than he is nuts. 3 year olds set up lies better than him. Oh by the way Trump, nobody said shit about Israel till you opened your big Orange pie hole. Loooooooooooooser!

Its hard to appreciate how important a good relationship with the U.S. is to Israel. They're not just our biggest ally - they're our patron. And one of Netanyahu's strongest electoral selling points is his popularity in the Republican party. He could get away with insulting a Democratic administration, like he did with Obama, because to the GOP, he's a rock star, and everyone here knows that. So he can't criticize Trump, because if he does so, he might lose the Republicans, and if that happens he's politically dead in the water, especially considering the multiple scandals and criminal investigations he's currently facing.

On the other hand, if Trump says something insensitive or antisemitic or just really stupid, the left, center and far-right will be all over Bibi, calling for him to demand an apology. If he doesn't, he'll come across as the spineless coward he is. In short, it's a lose-lose situation the moment Trump opens his mouth. Bibi's hitched his wagon to a tumbling piece of trash, and it's starting to burn.

I wonder if he knows how many states there are in the United States? :confused_old:

I consider all of those jigsaw puzzled gerrymandered districts the Repubs managed to arrange into a deeply Red configuration as being districts that are actually autonomous Repub controlled mini-states in their own right.

So I think the 58 states comment that Obama made is an underestimation of epic proportions. ;)
