Flowersdirect sends flowers via FedEX???

My parents just got some flowers for their anniversary - am I the only one who thinks that it's weird that Flowersdiret used FedEX???
If you mean 'weird' in terms of using FexEx for shipping, no that's pretty standard.

If you mean 'weird' in terms of having flowers delivered and packaged in a box (as opposed to the traditional flower delivery service where everything is already arranged) then YES I agree with you. I also think it's a little weird. It kind of defeats most of the 'wow' factor of shipping flowers IMO. It's almost just like you're receiving a magazine or shoes or something. Some services like FTD and 800flowers.com have networks of florists that do the fulfillment providing the more traditional flower delivery. They're a bit more expensive, but it just depends upon what you're looking for. Bang for the buck (and supposedly quality of the actual flowers, although that varies from florist to florist in reality) is where proflowers.com and some other online floral shops are supposed to really stand out. Personally though, I'd prefer to have them already arranged and handed to the person directly.

That is true. For the most special of occasions I either buy locally or do Proflower's and shipm them to my office. Then I arrange and deliver. Proflowers has some amazing quality most times. Much better than I find locally.
