Flowcharting software

Is there any good flowchart software out there that you would recommend? I need to do flowcharts that I can screenshot or save as jpg so I can put in a word document. Word has a feature for it but it's just tedious to use as I have to make text boxes and basically draw my own shapes. I'm looking for something like visio perhaps, but free. Doing a Google search for any type of free software is a real nightmare since it seems all software vendors like to false advertise as free so their site show up in Google. Thanks in advance.

ArgoUML has statechart and activity diagrams, they might fit what you need.

Visio Pro has the templates and does flow charting. I have not had to do it in years, so I am basing that on Version 5. I have 2003 loaded and have seen the templates, but don't use it for FC.

Visio is free? since I was sure it was part of office and had to pay for it.
