Flow Chart Programs?

My sister is asking me about programs to create flow charts since I'm the family tech support but I have never used anything to create flow professional flow charts.

Can you guys/gals point me to a couple of programs that allow you to use flow charts and relatively easy to use. Don't think she's doing anything too complicated and this area of software is alien to me so would appreciate some pointers.

Microsoft Visio, but you have to pay for it. There were a few I used for a project in college, I'll see if I can find them.

Edit: SmartDraw was one of them, 30 day free trial.
RFF Flow may have been the other (small charts only)

If anyone knows a good free program that ISN'T limited, I'd love to know as well.

Thanks folks 🙂
Didn't even know Word had it.. haahaa..Just shows u how much computer I know.
So much for being a techy...lol

you can do it in word but it will be a painful experience for anything slightly complicated.

Check out DIA. It's free (gpl'd), and it's very easy to use. When I had to put together some UML diagrams it was more then sufficent for my needs.

Yeah I'm guessing she doesn't want to pay $200 for it. I'm glad to hear OpenOffice does it, I'll check that out.
