Flossing

Use those disposable flosser thingies; they make it so much easier and you get a lot of gunk out from between your teeth! I like the ones with two lines of floss so they trap all the crap between them.

I do it usually after every meal if I have access to floss and I need to

I just hate the feeling of food stuck in my teeth

This is really lame, but my dentist challenged me to floss as a New Year's resolution ten years ago, now I HAVE to floss before I go to bed each night.

disposable floss sticks rock... they dont tear up... your hands dont smell like rotten-teeth... they make it easy to reach... i enjoy flossin with it

i do it twice a day. i got religion about dental care about a week before the
election because i had a dental appointment with 8 cavities.

gave up Sierra Mist & Mug Root Beer cold turkey. no more raisins, no more
herb tea with honey in it.

i had so many appointments i learned the tooth numbering & the terminology.

I should do it every day but I only end up doing it here and there, or after a meal where I have stuff stuck. I tend to mouth wash regularly though.

My biggest issue is pepsi. That stuff is really bad for the teeth. In my past few appointments I've had small cavities starting. I just can't give it up, though I slowed down a lot, and now I always have a glass of water right after I'm done one. What makes it worse is when you drink one then just leave it at that. The acid eats away at the enamel. If you drink it with food or rinse (never brush!) your teeth after it helps. Not sure by how much though.

I used to hate it. Then got disposable flossers, like mentioned above. I think I can do a good job in under a minute.

Get a battery powered flosser, *very* effective and easy to maneuver in and out of teeth.

/edit: I use this Reach one. Effective, quick, and refills are relatively cheap.

I too must recommend the disposable flossing devices. You can pick up a hundred-pack from the drugstore for a very reasonable price. They make it a lot faster & easier and dont cost too much more than a spool.

I've actually started doing it once a week to keep my dentist off my back. For the last 15 years, they've been asking me how often I floss; I saw once every few days (more like once a month or when my gums started feeling weird). Either I grew a brain or I finally got a cute enough dentist.
