If it travels the current projected path it will be right off-shore so it should provide plenty of waves. Unfortunately it might also cause some beach erosion.

Yes sir, the two go hand-in-hand. In '04 I had to watch for big debris like the wood poles and planks from the beach access, and even wood paneling from roofs. Both in and out of the water.
