I live in Panama City - I don't see the appeal - just a bunch of Traffic, and stupid kids. I'm glad the City is pushing for condos to be built and tearing down the sh!t hole hotels.

10 years ago, is that when UGA stopped having a Spring Break? I wondered because you mentioned all of the trailer trash hos, and I figured they came from UGA. 🙂

I live in Panama City and it sucks Ass. It's full of white trash/rednecks.... I honestly believe its one of the most overrated places in the world. No attractions, just beach and restaurants.

club levela is overrated too.

Geez, we rented a condo on the beach for a week. About seven of us total. Going up there with about $500 cash each. All expenses have been paid for except for spending money.

i went there a few years back and it was great fun. club la vela was pretty cool and lots of women. just bring enough cash to buy liquor and keep some hard stuff in your room and you'll have a fun time.

don't forget to check out beach football as well during the day

It's really not that bad. Beautiful white sand beaches. You'll have fun. I haven't been up there in a few years, Im from the west coast, but i dont remember it being "white trash"

Beautiful beaches can be found closer - Tyndall AFB has some of the most GORGEOUS beaches I've ever seen, and it's all prestine, and unmolested by tourists 🙂

well like I said, there are plenty of restaurants... Levela could be good depending on how many spring breakers are in... You could always visit Tyndall AFB.

Destin is so damn crowded now. I remember when I was a kid going to my uncle's condo and it was the last one on the beach. Now there's like 10 miles of highrises past where it was. Crazy. I prefer Seaside and Perdido as they're quieter and more low key.

Yep, I know what you mean. We used to go to Destin every year in the late 80's and early 90's, but the last time we went as a family we went to Seaside. Seaside is great, but a little far from more "touristy" things.

I went there in 2003 for SB...was an alright time. try to stay at a good hotel though. LaVela was ok but nothing spectacular. Worst part was that the weather was pretty good, but the water was still like 50 degrees and mruky in mid-march, so that kind of ruined the beach fun.

If you do go though, make sure you try out Hungry Howie's spicy-crust pizza...we had that stuff 3 times a day for like 3 days. mmmm, that sh!t was good
