Seems like Trump does acknowledge that most muslims are good people. How was this guy inspired by Trump?

The media is turning liberals into nasty people, who celebrate violence, just so they can sit here and falsely attribute craziness like this to trump. You just know they're hoping more of this kind of thing happens.
Why doesn't Trump speak out against the white supremacists committing hate crimes in his name?

Because Trump will say one thing to seem nice and then do or say something else that completely contradicts this statement. Remember how Trump claimed he'd be great for LGBT people, for example? Notice how the administration is racing to strip protections and re-enable discrimination against those same people?

In this case, it's simple: Trump made a token comment about how most Muslims are good, but his policies virtually revolve around demonizing the entire religion. The anti-Muslim immigration ban (aka "don't call it a Muslim ban even though we called it that ourselves") is the most obvious example. However, there's also his telling a domestic terrorism group to shift its focus exclusively to radical Muslims (facts be damned), the false claim that the media didn't give much coverage to Muslim terrorist attacks abroad... you get the idea. Trump treats Islam as a boogeyman, so gullible people believe that anyone with brown skin and a foreign-sounding name poses an imminent threat to the country.

This was inspired by Trump's Islamophobia. Full stop. There's been a marked surge in hate crimes since the November 8th election, and you damn well know it. Us liberals want the violence to end -- but it won't so long as Trump refuses to adopt a realistic, moderate view of Muslims... and we're not counting on that happening any time soon, not so long as his media diet largely consists of lies from Fox News and Breitbart.

You obviously don't understand doublespeak so I will explain...

(Shouting) radical muslims are our only terrorism problem
(Shouting) radical muslims are our only terrorism problem
(Shouting) radical muslims are our only terrorism problem
(Shouting) radical muslims are our only terrorism problem
(Shouting) radical muslims are our only terrorism problem
(quiet interview) 8 out of 10 muslims are good people
(Shouting) radical muslims are our only terrorism problem
(Shouting) radical muslims are our only terrorism problem
(Shouting) radical muslims are our only terrorism problem
(Shouting) radical muslims are our only terrorism problem

Now given the frequency volume and tone, which message to you think guys like him will hear??

Get it yet?? BTW - In the O'Reilly interview you do realize its a setup for him to ask aren't most Muslims good. Trump has to say that even if he doesn't believe it. An all out crusade against Islam would be a disaster and even Trump's people know that.

This was the primary argument I made against Trump to people: that the presidency is a very influential office and the smallest slip of tongue or miscommunication can have far-reaching consequences. You know why? Because people are stupid. People half-hear stuff, they get fragments of information, they don't get the nuance. People are stupid.

This guy was definitely stupid. And Trump's messaging influenced him.

Trump delivers fragments of information quite purposefully. He leads people to where they fill in the blanks from their imaginations, often the dark side of it. Like this-

He manipulates people at a deep emotional level. They buy in before they actually think about it at all. After that, they just rationalize belief.

Repubs have done the same thing more subtly for decades, believing they'd always be able to control it. Keeping their base nicely irrational is the only way they've won elections for a very long while. It got away from them with Trumpism. They never saw it coming & still don't quite realize what they've set in motion.

Won't get any argument from me here. Guy is an intolerant POS.

Possibly exactly the opposite of the potential eco-terrorist in the Sikh shooting. This guys actually sets garbage on fire which will burn at very dirty temperatures.
