This is almost parody, as the Governor of Florida thinks the poison pill move of Twitter’s board of directors to thwart Elon Musk’s purchase to take Twitter private is a bad business move. Seems State government is now wanting to get smaller by disbanding Disney’s development district and now take on Twitter. The culture war has no bounds.

“They advertise as being open platforms. They advertise as you being able to express yourself and communicate with other people, and yet, their censorship decisions and deplatforming decisions are based on viewpoint discrimination,” DeSantis argued.

That's rich coming from the guy that pushed the "Don't Say Gay" bill.

Who is trying to cancel an entire city because a CEO made a very weak public statement on his bigoted bill.

The party of small government wants you to know the government will go after you if they don't agree with your business decisions.

DeSantis only cares about one thing - maximum red meat for culture war conservatives to win the 2024 Republican primary. Conservative principles, internal consistency, his own personal dignity, the welfare of his state, all secondary.

Not only secondary, but easily given up as collateral to achieve power. These people would literally sell out their parents and children if it benefitted them. Sociopaths.

Well, he put his wife at serious risk while she was in treatment for "cancer".

Looks like he is moving on the Disney thing now with a special legislative session. He also rejected the redistricting that the legislature did, so he did his own. The redistricting, the Disney Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Twitter items will all be in that special session. Should be fun May as the start of hurricane season takes on new meaning.

I'd love nothing more than a full on war between him and the House of Mouse.

if the state does vote to remove/change the special district then Disney should close shop and layoff all their employees, at least temporarily.
