I don’t understand why the Republican Party isn’t declared an enemy of the United States. Why not take them for what they do. Who other than that sick bunch is a more dangerous threat.

So school is starting in Florida with an apparent deficit of about 9000 teachers who left their jobs. Some probably quit over the possibility of being jailed for speaking about slavery in the US or saying the word gay. But DeathSantis had an answer for replacing the teachers.
"Earlier this year, DeSantis signed a bill that allows military veterans to teach without a bachelor's degree. Though it passed the state legislature unanimously, the new law has become a lightning rod for criticism on social media.
"You give me somebody who has four years of experience as a [Marine] over somebody who has four years of experience at Shoehorn U and I will take the Marine every day of the week and twice on Sunday," DeSantis said at a recent news conference."
I can't help but wonder how effective Major Payne will be in teaching kids. SMH
In other news I have moved from south Georgia to Lakeland, FL and will be able to help vote the POS DeathSantis out of office. Hopefully that will end any speculation that he ever be elected President.

What makes military veterans qualified to teach vs anyone else?

A willingness to work for low pay.
Intel from Beaverton used loved to hire ex Navy people because they are used to working long hours. The deal when you hired was that you were willing to work like fixed 10 hours of OT minimum. That was probably back in the mid 90's though.
