Anyone recall one of the worse mass shootings Aurora CA? Let’s say there were 5 more untrained armed people. Now we have 6 people shooting in a dark movie theater. Likely outcome? More people shot and killed.

The hit rate for trained police is around 35%. My guess it’s less then half that for untrained.

I don't think dictatorships have armed populations.
So their agenda will eventually require disarming people.
 
Arizona has had open carry, no training, no permit required for adults since territorial days. Towns like Tombstone restricted open carry early on but under current state law, cities no longer have the ability to restrict carry.

I have a hypothesis that push for open carry is directly related to the fact the government hasn't confronted White People with guns since Waco.

A couple years ago, as part of my duties on my HOA, I had tell an asshole who was open carrying that he couldn't put his fence on neighborhood property. You shouldn't have a gun in middle of a conversation in a functioning society.

This isn't unique to FL. WV removed the licensing requirement for CC a few years ago.
 
I carry concealed (permitted, trained, background checks, etc.) and I know many who also carry concealed.

I have encountered a few that open carry (in my state no training to OC), and it seems they are more concerned about the size of their dick than anything else.

Yeah, it always weirds me out when I see some Jethro in Walmart/etc with a "Boebert special" tacti-cool setup strapped on their hip.
 
I'll stay away from ghettomart during the hours of darkness. 😛 Actually I'm all for it if they can enforce existing laws that prevent criminals from having one.

Locally, every arrest that hits the news, most often drug related, lists all the charges they face. A very common charge is carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, and the #1 is being armed and a felon, along with dealing drugs, and open warrants.

Yep. I bought a rifle and pistol online and they were shipped to my FFL dealer (federal firearms license). I fill out one page of info, he calls the FBI while I'm standing there and I walk out with a gun. I can conceal carry the pistol on my person or in a car. I didn't get any paperwork and I didn't need to do any training. The last time I bought a pistol in 1999 or 2000 there was a waiting period which is a good idea.

When they seize power, they'd have the police and the military. You don't need a bunch of whackos that have their own ideas of what "freedom" is when you control all the normal power enforcers. One of the militias might turn into something like the SS, but I doubt Dictator Desantious is actually going put up with all sovereign citizen crazies when they are no longer useful.

BTW: The brown shirts where the SA and they will killed by Hilter after he gained power, which is exactly what I was referring to.
