Me and a lady friend of mine are looking for somewhere nice to relax for spring break together in FL. We kinda want nice beaches with waves...so probably something on the east coast? Or does the west coats have decent waves too?

Something like a getaway but not too expensive :)

Any good experiences?

nah... sort of a mixture. We're both in college- but we'd like to relax just as much as partying. :)

ft. lauderdale is probably a nice compromise....it doesn't get that crazy there, but there's still partying, and it's only an hour or so away from miami

Fort Lauderdale is expensive, isn't it? :(

I guess Ft. Lauderdale can be expensive depending on how nice of a place you stay at...but there are also definitely some bargains to be found as most college spring breakers now go to miami and panama city, making hotels charge lower rates to attract tourists. I'm not a big fan of Daytona, but that probably comes from living in Jacksonville for 5 years and not liking Daytona back then...

look into the Ft.Myers area on the west coast. Lots of Spring Breakers come to our beaches every year. I dunno why but they do :Q

You should hit Panama City, FL... That's the REAL party town for SB. There are some decent clubs and it's pretty nice. :)

Daytona is alright, but for clubbing and such, Miami is better. Ohh yeah, the women are hotter there too. ;)

Tampa/St. Petersburg isn't too bad. There are some beaches straight west of Tampa that students go to. St. Petersburg is primarily a retiree resort area though. St. Pete's Beach has a lot of hotels and resorts to stay at.

Daytona was pretty fun for me while I was stationed in Orlando. I spent every free weekend I had out there, only a 45 min ride from base.

Panama Beach is pretty good, a friend of mine used to live there but I have never been.

Or you could go for Lake Havasu, AZ.
