Question FLOPS single or double precision?

Just wondering when computing power is quoted like when ranking super computers I assume they are referring to double precision FLOPS?

With the advent of AI supercomputers, sometimes you'll see companies advertise some form of operations per second (e.g. TOPS or tensor operations per second) that differs from the traditional double precision calculation. Some companies even get a little sloppy/deceptive with it so you have to be a little careful, but in general, a FLOP number should be based on double precision OPS.
