I'm putting together a new Iwill KK266-R. Barebones right now, just HD, floppy, DVD, video. The problem is that the floppy drive gives me nothing but IO errors.

Thinking it was a bad drive, I swapped it with a known good drive from my current system. That one wouldn't work either. No combination of A, B, or both connected made a difference. I even swapped the drive cable with that from my old computer. Nothing.

Now the really crappy part: I put the good drive and cable back in my old system, and now they exhibit the exact same problem! What the hell is going on here? Help! I've read other posts in this forum with other floppy problems, but none of them quite apply.

I'm upset that my new mobo isn't working quite right, but I'm really worried about my old system. Right now that's my first priority to get working again.

Solved it. The new drive was bad. And it killed any disk I put into it. So when I put that disk into the old, good drive, it wouldn't work. Spent hours on this one. Ack!
