My FDD light is on all the time, from the time I turn on my computer to the time I turn it off. There is no disk in it or anything. What is up with that? could it be that the cable is on backwards?? It fits 2 ways. Is it something I should be worried about?

When you get the floppy cable reversed, the light does stay on all the time like you're experiencing. Try double checking to make sure you have the cable plugged into the motherboard correctly then reverse the cable on the floppy.

It's definately something you should be concerned about because it shouldn't be doing that.

That's what has always bothered me about floppy drives. They never have markings to tell you where pin 1 goes, and they purposely try to confuse you by making it the opposite of all other drives, whether it be ide, scsi, hard drives, or cdrom drives, which all have it on the right side of the drive.
