Floppy Drive Probs.....

It sounds like your m/b isn't configured right, or your m/b is fryed.
It sounds like it is most likely fryed, because you tryed a new floppy.
 
It could be the MB, but in all my experience its usually the flat cable is backwards or upside down. I know u said you tried it every way but you may want to go back and recheck.
