A buddy of mine is using a CUSL2 board. I used it in my system w/o problem. He installed it yesterday and it is working fine, except for the fact that he is unable to read from the A: drive.

1) The cable is on the correct way. The light does not stay on, but will is the cable is reversed.
2) He has tried 3 differnt cables (one brand new w/ the MB)
3) Has tried 3 different A: drives (one being brand new)
4) Has tried MANY floppy disks
5) Unable to read floppys in DOS and Win98.
6) BIOS setting have been reset to Fail Safe Mode
7) Has tried different power leads

Any ideas? The floppy light does turn on while trying to read the disk and grunts...but than comes up with the drive unavailable/please insert disk into drive A:

You have tried all possible cable positions (both first and second on the cable) and connector positions on the drive (normal vs. flipped)? Is the drive identified in the BIOS? Is it the only drive on the cable (do you have a B: drive?)
