Error:-"The disk in drive A is not formatted Do you want to format it now?"

Is there anything you can do about this error you get when trying to open a floppy.

The information was put onto the disk by one PC with Win2000 and being
opened by an another PC with Win2000.
 
Get a floppy drive cleaning kit somewhere, and try that in both PC's. Sometimes that does it.
It's just a floppy disk, except there's a cleaning surface instead of a plastic magnetic disc, and it comes with a small bottle of rubbing alcohol. Put it in the drive, and try to access the drive - that'll spin the disc, and clean the heads.
