Floppy Disk Drive Refuses to work

The computer reconigizes the flopyy drive is there, but when i double click on it, to read the disk, it says please insert a disk into the floppy drive.
so i'm thinking my floppy drive is shot, so i grab one from another computer, and it does the same exact thing
someone please help
 
BTW, i have drived uninstalling the drive in device manager and restarting and letting windows reinstall it, but that didnt work either
 
Try re-orienting the floppy cable. 90 percent of the time this is the reason why a floppy drive isn't working.

Also, make sure the power cord is on right.
