I just booted up my new system for the first time and I got a "floppy fail (40) error." What is that? Also my AK31 detected my 1.33 ghz athlon as a 1 ghz and my PC2100 as running at 200 sdr speed. What the heck's up?

I bought the stuff from newegg, so I'm pretty sure that the processor really is a 1333. I could get into the bios and the temperature was listed at 35 C. Wouldn't that bear me out since that's relativly cold?

thanks

1.33Ghz = 133x10, 1Ghz = 100x10.
Your FSB is probably set to 100 not 133.

The floppy 40 error usually means the floppy cable is upside down.

Thanks - the red side of the cable is on the power connector side, or rather under it. I thought it worked that way for most drives, but I guess the floppy is different.

Keep posting your ideas everyone else though.
