I'm in the process of replacing some of my old, wooden floors. In the process of doing so I found that the concrete underlay underneath was just a messed. I figured I'd just contract it out instead of making it a DIY project. Here are some pictures:

Anyway, I encountered this posting on Craigslist:
I have been in the flooring business for over 35 years, I am just getting to old for the fisical part of installation, I am offering my services for people who are looking to do the job thereself, or just need advice on a job that has already been done. If you need someone to measure, and tell you what you need to do the job right , please let me know. Since I am a ex professional flooring installer, I will be honest with you an tell you if you are getting in over your head and need to hire a professional floor installer, I have seen a lot of jobs done by Home owners and other non professional and although the job looked ok, there were a lot of little details that were not done that would have made it look a lot better. There is a lot more to laying a floor that just putting it down. its the small details that make a floor look great. If you are interested in this service, please let me know. Thanks Larry

I figured I'd get someone to look at it and provide some advice as to what I need to do next. This would also be an independent opinion from the other contractors that will be bidding for the project.

So here is the response that I got:

I don't think I'll be getting any flooring advice from a guy named Larry.

Was this posting edited recently since they removed their erotic services and replaced with "floor code"?

Sure seems like it and I wonder what "If you need someone to measure, and tell you what you need to do the job right" means. :Q
