flooding in the Chicago area

Except for the flood in the Loop caused by the breach of that freight tunnel, I've personally never seen flooding this bad (20+ years). I wonder what it's like near the Des Plaines river.

Part of River Rd. is closed ... there was an overflowing sewer close to where I live.

There are two massive stormwater detention basins in the area (both about a mile in circumference) that are currently filled with about 30 feet of water. Anymore rain and they will overflow.
