what town in jersey?

Those pictures are Manville.

I was up near there last night, it was bad driving back home.

A lake near my house completely covered the roadway and I had to turn around and go another way.

10 minutes from me a dam burst and there was emergency evacuations.

Well that explains why all of the roads to Manville are closed. 206 is also closed at Dukes Parkway East, so there's pretty much no way for me to get to Bridgewater to go to work.

Where's Manville?

I'm in Lakewood, NJ, Ocean County.

I was driving on the Belt Parkway (Brooklyn) late last night going to JFK airport, the road was completely flooded.

Somerset County, near Bridgewater, Bound Brook, Somerville, Hillsborough, etc.

Can I ask why? There's like NOTHING going on here. 🙂

This was my back yard yesterday: http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/mugs/IMG_1115.JPG (there's a creek that normally runs beyond the first group of trees, you can see it in the background. The creek level is usually several feet below the banks. It all subsided by today though, and apparently it's in the Raritan River now (there also appears to be a new river running through the Duke Estate).

I wonder how the Delaware River is looking.

I'm stuck in Hillsborough...*Sigh* drove around for a couple of hours this morning trying to find a way out... I ended up getting lost in the local streets of Manville for a little while. After finding my way, I came home and went back to sleep. I feel like such a bum right now...

Came up 287 to 78 this morning from the turnpike and traffic was slow as hell, there was nothing short of a small lake in the median in one area but nothing actually flooded out.

I'm at work here in Trenton and it's pretty close to flood level. Last year it didn't spill over it's banks and flood the city until a day after it stopped raining. Not out of danger yet.

No way out of Hillsborough.

We all need to get together.
