Flo Gave Me A New Discount Today

I switched my auto policies to Flo a few months back. Saved close to half of what I was paying at another company. But today I noticed that there was a 'security system' discount that had not been applied even though one of the cars has a factory installed system. So, I logged in to my account and set up a Chat to ask about it. They added it and told me the discount was $1.02 per six months. Yes, you read that right. One measly dollar.

significant!

that'll really add up over 100 years.
obviously exists solely to pad their list of available discounts

count your dollars, and your hundreds will count themselves
I disagree. Let the dollar here or the dollar there slide. Focus your time on education, investments, career, and big purchases. Then the single dollars no longer matter.

My father-in-law would spend tens of hours to get 7 cents back on a purchase. But would lose tens of thousands of dollars on investments since he never had the time.

So, many of you probably that due to a number of factors including labor rates and lumber and other building materials prices, hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires and so on, homeowner's insurance rates went kerblooey.

The company I was with jumped their rate several hundred dollars this year. Too many hundreds to hack without some serious review. Like pulling teeth to get a new, better rate from the agent I was with. Yeah, I said 'was'.

Shopped around (like to 60s song says to do). Rates were stupid. I hate Flo. I hate the incessant ads. But the rate quote was several hundred less than anywhere else. Plus, it should set me up for another 5% discount on auto for multi-policy.

And why did I type and have to correct 'hunderd' every time above instead of hundred?

Some "savings/points" stuff is worth the effort and MOST isn't .... key is being able to tell the difference going in! :)

(for example the "discount points" @ Exxon/Mobil which are near-zero effort... and my local Mobil is actually cheap gas)
