Flickering screen

My screen seems to be flickering randomly, and quite faintly but it's noticable. Actually, it's doing it right now, only when I type. The monitor and graphics card are fine, as I can put my graphics card on another computer and use this same monitor with no problem. I'm starting to wonder if it has anything to do with my power supply? Voltage ratings are as follows: V Core: 1.81, 2.5V = 1.57V, 3.3V = 3.41V, 5V = 4.68V, 12V = 12.37V. Are these values too off? I have a 400W Enermax PSU. 1.33ghz t-bird, 2 hard drives, sound, video, modem, lan, capture card, dsl modem, cd burner.. Thanks ~

Do you mean refresh rate flicker? Is the monitor refresh set to 60Hz? Or do you mean something else, like the picture jumping, for instance.

Refresh is set to 75... It's a subtle, light waviness, visible on light areas of the screen (white, light gray) and it seems to happen with hard disk activity, or significant cpu usage and, like I said, when I type.

Have you tried degaussing it? Does your monitor have any moire adjustments? Is there any damage to the VGA cable? If no help then AEB might have it right.

Thanks, but I'm sure this isnt the case. I can use the same monitor on a different computer, and it works just fine. In fact, I can use the same video card and monitor on another rig and the problem is not evident.

i had this exact same issue and it was the video card. i was running a pny g4 ti4200 and i sent it back, got a new one, and the problem went away. be careful about this and keep an eye on it because its very hard on the monitor to constantly refresh like that and it cost me my 19" monitor before i figured out it was the video card. i replaced the burnt out monitor, put in a new power supply then finally gave up and called tech support for my video card and that was it.
