That article pretty much covers it, but I'd get a pin removal tool instead of using a screwdriver.
You can remove the molex pins without bending the ears of the pins and it's only a buck or two.

I have a good mind of doing these on my Antec Tru 430..

Has anyone done this before? I need to know how long of each diameter of flexo-pet should I get, and how much heatsink tubing etc?

marvie, 1/2 is a good size IMO. Zepper, got a link to the tool? TenaciousT, the shrink wraping looks a bit complicated. can i just use electrical tape? thanx all

Nothing complicated about the shrink wrap....once you have the molex disassembled:

Measure the sleeving and cut to fit - leave about 1/2" bare at each end.

Slide the sleeving over the wires (see the guide posted)

Cut about an inch of shrink wrap for each end, slide over the sleeving to final position.

Use a heat source (I use a disposable lighter) to heat shrink wrap in place. Don't let heat sit in one place too long - plastic WILL catch fire!

I'm considering this too... I think that using the FLEXO wrap stuff would be so much easier and not worth all the time of taking the wires out. Anyone try this stuff? Does the tape or however it sticks stick?

Here's a Link to one tool. There are probably cheaper ones out there. Or you could improvise... Look around the house for some type of rigid tubing (think old, dead ball pointpen refill or something like that) that just barely fits over the contact (about .10" inside diameter). Just push it on til it hits plastic and gently pull the pin out by the wire. I did a google search and didn't find anything cheaper that the RS unit.

Electric Tape works and something is needed for the flexowrap cause it shread at the ends.
A useful tool to take off the pins other then what Zepper posted from the connectors is a dentist pic.

I used the sleeving on my TruePower 430 without problem. I too used a Molex removal tool (much easier), but you're still going to need to flatten some of the pins. Why?

Well, think about the TruePower. You have 3 Molex connectors on one line. If you remove all three and try to slide it over the middle ones, they tend to face the wrong direction and catch on the sleeving. Thus, flatten them after you remove them with the molex tool and then bend them back out when ready to reattach. The end one doesn't suffer from this problem.

I sleeved all but two lines because you can't really get it over the connectors. Also, for those with floppy connectors on the end, a little larger heatshrink fits but shrinks down to the same diameter as the sleeving. Thus, to keep it from accidently sliding (not completely tight), I used red zipties on the back part of those heatshrink areas where the sleeving comes into it (keeps them both from moving, and red matched the red heatshrink I used, which matches the one line that comes sleeved from Antec already).

It takes some time, but it's VERY nice when done.

I also did all the case fans.

CableOrganizer carries Flexo Pet, heatshrink and heat guns: http://cableorganizer.com/flexo-pet/
I invested in several spools of 1/8 and 1/4 in various colors.

If you want UV reactive sleeving, FrozenCPU and PerformancePCs has some.

I use a Wahl Micro-Therm portable butane heat gun for heat shrink.
http://www.iso-tip.com/html/micro_therm.htm

It comes with a deflector to even out the heat around the circumference of the the heat shrink tubing. Well-worth it if you are going to be doing much of this and it is useful for other stuff around the house too. I also use it to caramelize sugar on creme' brulee in the kitchen. I got tired of burning myself on the metal parts of a BIC lighter after a long burn. I purchased mine locally at You-Do-It Electronics in Massachusetts for 25 bucks, but it is easy to find online.
