Flex ATX

I don't recognize the term "flex"... are you referring to motherboards made by the Flexus company?? If so, check this link: www.freetech.com - it's a link from the Flexus page on the Motherboard Homeworld website.

In any event, you'll find that www.motherboards.org is an invaluable source for researching motherboard type info. The following URL is a listing of their motherboards by the Freetech corporation.

Since you didn't mention what processor you need to support you'll just need to go through the list.

ASUS makes a FlexATX board called the CUSI-FX based on the SIS 630E chipset. It has just about everything integrated.

Given the extraordinarily cramped specifications of FlexATX, I doubt you will be able to find one with an external AGP slot. Even the ASUS board is the biggest FlexATX board that I have seen, and Intel is now trying to push NO PCI slots on FlexATX at all.....just an AMR/CNR slot for the usual cheap crap that is placed in tiny FlexATX cases and 5 onboard USB ports.

Flex ATX is a new motherboard specification for extremely small cases. The usual motherboard size is 9 inches by 7.5 inches. It is used in small footprint highly integrated PC designs.

The main Flex Motherboards I am aware of are the ASUS CUSI-FX, CUW-FX and the Intel D810EMO.

Most of them are based on the i810 chipset, but the CUSI-FX is based on the sis 630 and offers more expandability than the others.

I need an AGP slot because there are no GeForce in PCI format and the PCI Voodoo 5 is 9.6 inches long. I had not seen a videocard this long since my old voodoo Rush!!!

Could you direct Me to a specific model? I have heard rumors of a Creative Labs Anihilator 2MX PCI that used DDR but the link on creative's website seems to lead nowhere.

Are there any other MX DDR in PCI format?

Balseraph: Innovision makes a PCI GeForce 2 MX called the Inno3D Tornado GeForce 2 MX.

There are currently no DDR models available. DRR GeForce2 MXs only have a 64-bit data path to RAM; SDR versions have a 128-bit memory interface. Thus the DDR version is not necessarily better.
