What if I got 4, 80 inch plasma tv screens and turned the brightness to max in a small room.

Would that be enough to get a tan if all screen protection was removed from the front?

I'll have to go to costco and see if I can make the white very bright.

It seems possible to do it. I doubt if the models on the show floor are plasma though........

The reason I thought of the above was if I won the lotto and did not want a
bulky tanning bed taking up a room in my home. This way the tanning room can still be the entertainment room as well.

You'd have to search on the specific LEDs used in your televisions to find out if they put out ultraviolet. Removing the filters would likely render the sets somewhat less entertaining, but maybe not. Staring into white lights has to be better than 99.94% of TV programming.

Anyway, if it were me, I'd give it a try.

A tanning bed would probably be cheaper (and work better), plus you could rent it out and you'd have wimmenz getting naked in your house and paying you money! Or dudez if that's more your thing.

THat was my first choice but seeing it taking up a lot of room.
So then I thought of IN WALL lighting but then that would limit the usefulness of the room and so thought of having brightest TV available.

Oh wait! It just came to mind! I remember now! sunbriteTV dot com.

I am 100% sure I can get a tan with that!
BRB will email their tech people and see what they say.....

Sunbrite says no to indoor use and no they would make a person tan... Uuuugh...

There must be a tv bright enough to do this!
My moms best friend is a retired nasa engineer. I'll have to ask him.
Yeah I know he will laugh at me.

You could move to Florida for less than the cost of four 80 inch TVs. Year round tan.

It's not a matter of brightness. TVs aren't designed to emit UV radiation. There would be no point in them doing so. It would only serve to damage your vision.
