Flat screen monitors

I was considering getting a flat screen (lcd) monitor now that prices are getting reasonable
my question is: Do I need to get a new video card with a different output to drive it or do they
run off the regular VGA output. Thanks in advance, Barry

They have both, but I would get one that runs off DVI. It's a much clearer picture
