Hers my prob, I have an option of either having a Dell 1905FP or a Samsung 910T. I have briefly tried em both and have come to a quick but not solid conclusion that the Dell plays PC games better than the samsung but the samsung plays my PS2 better than the Dell. I did a very fast test so I really cant base my decision on the quick test. What would you guys choose? The Dell 1905FP or the Samsung 910T? One has to go back and I really dont have the time to thouroughly test em both so I am counting on you guys. I play PC games of all types, mainly racing and FPS and have all my console systems hooked up via my Viewsonic N4 which connect directly to any monitor without any PC. Help me make the right choice! :)

Thanks guys!

Dell comes out with some crazy deals every so often. Cant beat them for the price you get.

Keep the Dell. You're retarded if you play a PS2 on an LCD. They're mean't for TV's.

Have you played PS2 on a LCD monitor? It looks a lot better than standard tube TV.

Thanks for the immature unhelpful responce. Consoles look much better on LCD monitors and even better on CRT monitors than on regular TVs. And with the viewsonic N4 tuner I have it even blows away PCI tv card due to the fact that the monitor (LCD or CRT) plugs directly into it bypassing the PC completely.

I dunno... A lot of people have been having backlight issues with the Dell. They also say they have problems viewing text. Depening on what you paid, I would personally choose the Samsung. Especially if the Dell gives you those issues. You probably need to take 30 minutes and do a little bit more testing, then decide.

edit : If I misunderstood that and you really won't be home at ALL, then I would consider what you paid for them. You could probably get around 450 for the Samsung if you sold it, then get the Dell for around 300-350 (or less) with some crazy deals.

edit2 : The Samsung has a 25 ms response time, get the DELL.

I just purchased the 1905FP for a bit over $300 taxes, licenses and shipping included. Great monitor and the USB ports are a nice touch.

All I can say is I have a 1505FP here and I couldn't be happier with its performance. Using DVI, EVERYTHING is sharper, text, images, everything - and now my eyes don't feel like they're trying to bore out the back of my skull.

I plan to move up to a 1905FP later this year...want some more real estate.

Cost isnt an issue as I can choose one for free, but one needs to be returned. Company say I can only choose one of the 2. In my brief testing console games need a lot of tweaking on the samsung while on the dell it goes full screen automatically. The viewsonic can only do 1024x768 60hz max and the samsung no likey that but the dell does. I'm probably gonna keep the dell. Thanks for the help guys!
