Flask MPEG problems in Win XP?

I'm trying to back up all of my DVDs since I 'm getting a new humongous HD soon...but Flask MPEG always seems to freeze up when I try to open up a DVD's VOB files....I've only successfully copied one of them, the rest do not even load. Is this because of copyright protection, or because Win XP sucks?

How did you rip them down to your HD?

Flask works fine for me on XP.
