Does anyone know how to flash the chaintech VNF3-250 bios? I'm not sure if i'm suppose to use a floppy or do it inside windows or what not. I knwo with my last mobo you have to DOS(or whatever) and select a path on the C drive to boot from. Does anyone know how to do it?

well, i've never used a chaintech before....if it provided a util to flash the BIOS in windows, i say use it.....there's too many things that can go wrong if you use a floppy and do it in DOS...

I've used Gigabyte's @BIOS atleast 5-10 times since i got my K8-NSNXP-939 NF3 Ultra motherboard, and has gone perfectly everytime.....just make sure you don't do something stupid like try to flash it while you are rendering a movie, or doing 3D Modelling!!!!

I just bought one of these things too. Hopefully, chaintech will
come out with a new finalized bios soon. I would like my system
to work properly. If chaintech has their own bios flashing tools,
you probably want to use those. I can't be of much help to you,
as I've never flashed a bios and I figure I will wait until the final
version rolls out to do it. Although that might not be a good idea
judging by some of the things that have been said about the bios.
I am definetely interested in this topic as I'm sure many others
are, so if you come across any useful information please post.
Thanks

I flashed mine without any problems. I used VN120729. I can't remember if I used the Alt-F2 method or not, but I also see I downloaded awdflash about 1 hour after I downloaded the bios. I probably renamed VN120729 to VN120729.BIN and used awdflash from floppy.

Anyways, you may want to read their How to Flash Bios doc. The reason I think I used awdflash is because the timestamp on the bios download was an hour before the how to flash doc, and awdflash and the doc are minutes apart. In the doc they say asdflash, but that must have been a typo.
