Flashing the bios upgrades the bios settings. Do it with care, or you will end up with a dead mobo. I used a win98se bootdisk with windows 2k, and then typed "awardflash" and 4sda2408.bin (example only) for the new program. Then it will ask you if you want to save the old program. Save it if your not sure, in case the flash is bad, or the new bios causes problems. A white screen appears while the bios is flashing, which takes 30 seconds to one minute. It will tell you when it is finished. Hit the reset button to reboot, del to enter bios, save and exit, then you can reboot again and make any changes you want to the bios settings.
