One of the computers here with Windows 2000 keep having the Quick Launch toolbar flashing/refreshing every few seconds.
i searched Google and found reference to McAfee Virus Scanner installation going nuts and also to some older 16 bit Windows application that takes up memory and CPU cycle but not released.
this is not the case with this particular computer. i found no McAfee installed, CPU utilization is low, no 16 bit program running, cleaned it up with AdAware and SpyBot, restarted the computer, and the Quick Launch is still flashing.
any suggestion on what else to check?
