I tried to flash my firmware to LD3520 1.UG (Liggy & Dee NEC ND-3520A firmware) but I don't really know how to do it.

Q: How do i flash my drive with this firmware?
A: The firmware is now bundled with Liggys Binflash Unzip then run the package, now click on the FLASH button. The firmware will now be uploaded onto your drive, when completed you will be prompted to restart your PC.

I went to http://binflash.cdfreaks.com/ and downloaded v1.16(Win32) am I supposed to download Win32 GUI? What's the difference? Anyway, I double-click the .exe and a window comes up and disappears quickly. I thought a FLASH button was supposed to pop up. Any help?

The program (without the Windows GUI) probably runs at a command prompt. Clicking on it is probably opening a command prompt window and closing it. Either get the Windows GUI or run from a CMD prompt.

When I hit the FLASH button, it tells me to look for a .bin file. I thought the binflash utility came bundled with it?

Okay, I'm dumb. Well, I've found the binflash bundled with 1.UG, but when I try to flash it just freezes at the beginning of the process. What do I do?

go on cdfreaks.com forums, go on the NEC forum and they have a thread especially for liggie's firmware. They have a direct download of the exe file with bin already integrated...give that a try
