Hello All. Sorry if this have been discussed before, this is my first post...
Basically I flashed BIOS on my Fujitsu-Siemens MS-6391 Motherboard to stock MSI 6391 one. Now I have some PC issues and I am wondering whether they are due to this BIOS change. I want to change back, but I can't. When I try to flash BIOS, it says "BIOS identification string is not compatible with your system" (or something like that). I would appreciate greatly if someone would tell me how this could be bypassed.

Sincerely Yours,

Stanislav

I don't know your motherboard. But, many have a jumper that you can set after removing the battery to reset the bios. Look at your motherboard manual.
If it has it, it should be described in the manual.
You turn off the computer and unplug it. Then, you remove the battery, that powers the CMOS chip.
Then, you remove the jumper and insert it the way shown in the manual for reset. You wait for a few seconds. Then, remove the jumper and insert it back the way it was. Then, you replace the battery.
That does it. Now, after reboot, it will be the way it was when you bought it. Any bios updates that you may have done will be lost.

That only works for changes to the current BIOS. It won't revert the flash so the old version won't come back.

You should be able to find another flashing tool that has been modified to ignore the BIOS string. You need to go search google and/or post more information (like tool you're using now, etc).
