i have an asus a7m266 that i am trying to flash the bios in. however the directions tell you to create a bootable floppy and place aflash.exe on it. how do you create and use a bootable floppy in xp?

this is my first flash so please excuse me if i am missing something obvious.

thanks.

Put a blank floppy in your drive, go to Windows Explorer, RIGHT click on your A: drive, select FORMAT.

Check the box at bottom that says "Create an MS-DOS Startup Disk" then click START

When it's done formatting, just copy your new BIOS file to the floppy along with the flash program then reboot with the floppy in and be sure it's set to boot from floppy first in your current BIOS settings.
