Flashing Bios in WinXP?

I have flashed the bios in Win98 with a bootable DOS floppy. However, since Win XP is not DOS based, do I still flash the bios with the bootable DOS floppy?
I have an Epox 8KHA+; the Epox site still gives the instructions to use the bootable DOS floppy.
Thanks for any guidance!

yes, the BIOS is updated the same way.

if u use the floppy, it wont boot into winXP, and BIOS is independent from the OS anyway, so you upgrade the BIOS with your bootable DOS floppy.

good luck! 😉
