flashed P2B bios - now CMOS screen freezes

I just flashed my P2B bios from 1.006 to 1.012 (I'm going to try and run a PIII). Everything seems to be ok, until I go into the CMOS screen. It doesn't seem to have the correct
drive info and it just hangs there. I can't escape out or do anything. The drive info that flashes by on boot is correct (the same as before the flash) I boot into Windows fine. I don't think this is normal but is there anything I can do about it? Any harm in leaving it the way it is?

thanks,
larry

Please clarify your post. If you have multiple drive partitions, you need to go into the bios and set auto.

I can boot just fine, no freezing there. I can press Delete to get into the bios setup. Everything seems to be normal until I go into
the CMOS section - where the drive info is. Once I'm in there I can't do anything - no buttons work, even to escape out to the previous menu. The drive info it has listed does not match what was there before - but when I continue the boot and the drive info flashes by before starting Windows, that info is correct.

Hopefully that makes more sense.

Did you tell the Bios to load setup defaults? If not, that could explain the problem. Could be a bad flash, or crappy Bios.

Yep, tried reflashing the bios, same deal. Haven't tried going back
to the old version because I think the Coppermine won't work with anything less than 1.012, correct?
